The Blogging Blues

I've recently felt pretty burnt out about the whole online community. I feel like tearing down my blog and never posting comments again. Haven't quite figured out the psychology behind it yet. Maybe like a baby throwing a temper tantrum I'm not getting the attention I want. Maybe it's sucking my time up and becoming an addiction. I guess like everything, there's a healthy way to interact online and then there's what I'm doing. I was hoping to subvert the blogging blues by posting about them. I don't think it's working. Don't be surprised if I quit posting for awhile.

you know, not to depress you anymore than you already are, but blogging is quite useless... and quite addictive. don't get too down on yourself. just realize that little come of blogging, except contentiousness from those you disagree with, or those who misread your post, or whose post you misread (which, according to the latest studies, you have a 50/50 chance of misreading tone and intent of any person's post) and agreement from those who like you, are your friends and who agree with what you write. with a healthy dose of skepticism about blogging... go and blog to your heart's content, and pay no mind to a lack of traffic or if other sites get more hits than yours. blogging for others is too exhausting...
well, i'm going to generate some contentiousness and disagree with you! j/k. sort of. i think it goes back to self-honesty and grace. i have actually gotten a lot out of GK's debate about homosexuality. i just need to be more aware of my male competitiveness and, as you say, not blog for others. instead, i should be blogging for the conversation.
