unto us a child is born
Ok so I ripped off some language usually reserved for the baby Jesus, get over it. Early on Christmas morning Larissa woke me up with a "my water has broken!" Just like that we were off to the races...I mean hospital.
Shaye Rebekah Smith was born on December 25th, 2006. She weighed 7lb 12oz and measured in a respectable 20 inches. She is unbelievably cute and has been a very good newborn. I will stop here and post pictures for all to see. I'm positive more will follow. Click on the picture to the right to be taken to the pictures.

Congrats. glad everything went well. I'msure it was that fake charlie Brown movie we watched after the real one that got it all going.

Kevin - You could be right. The fight against commercialism could be strong enough to induce labor. Or it could have been the trivia show.

Absolutely beautiful! God is very good indeed. We pray for all the best for you as a family and as parents.
Kyle, you are now out-numbered. Estrogen has started to overtake your world. (Be afraid, very afraid!) I know you can survive this situation as other have before you (your father-in-law, perhaps). If you need any hints or help with this, I have almost 22 years experience in dealing with estrogen overload.
I keep looking at your beautiful baby and remembering both of our girls being born and the first few weeks and all the special 'firsts' and getting a bit misty (obviously the ill effects of being awash in estrogen all these years.) What a great blessing a new born is!
You are in our prayers.
