Hey Kids,
It's finally here, a page just for you! Paul writes this in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Paul wanted Timothy to know that even though there were people around him who were older than he was, God had given him an important job. God has also given you an important job! He wants you to set an example for the people around you, by obeying your parents and teachers, and by telling your friends about Jesus.
Here in Peru, I am able to teach children just like you about God and his son Jesus. Just like Timothy was a young man who taught the people in Ephesus, the McKinzies, the Smiths and I are here in Arequipa, Peru teaching people about God, but we can't do it by ourselves. We need you to pray for us while we are here, and we need you to pray for the children here who are learning about God, just like you learn about God from your Bible class teachers and your parents. Another way you can be an example to the people around you is by inviting a friend to come to church with you. This month I want to encourage you to find ways to be a good example in your family, in the church, and in your school.
Sometimes it is hard to make good decisions. At times it can feel like you are in a maze, unsure which way is the best way to go. As you make your way through this puzzle think about how you can apply some of the same concepts you use to make it through the maze to help you make good choices in your life. For example, when you look at the maze, you look ahead to where the path will lead you, before you go down it. The next time you have a decision to make, think about what might happen as a result of the choice you make, this will help you decide which is the better choice.
