The children here in Peru have been learning about how God takes care of them. Jesus tells us that we don't need to worry about what we are going to eat today or if what clothes to wear, because God provides everything we need. One way he gives us what we need, is through our parents. God gives many children good parents to take care of their needs. Sometimes, God has other ways of providing a place to live, food to eat, and clothes to wear.
A few weeks ago, Greg, a couple women from the church here, and I went to visit a family that raises alpacas. God provides green grass for the alpacas to eat, and rain water for them to drink. God takes care of the alpacas and keeps them healthy, so that the family can use the alpaca hair to make warm clothes to wear, they use the alpaca skins to sleep on to keep them warm at night, and they are able to eat the alpaca meat for food. Through the alpacas God gives this family everything that they need, just like God gives us everything that we need.
