The team is breathing a sigh of relief right now—especially Larissa. Each of the team members has been responsible for various projects throughout our six months here in Tyler. We all chipped in on the chaos, but Larissa is to be commended for pulling off a fabulous night of fun and fellowship—Peruvian style. On the night of January 12, teamAREQUIPA hosted a "Taste of Arequipa" dinner to build awareness among the Shiloh team members. We could not have been more pleased with how the night turned out. And watch out Tullahoma, we hope to do something similar during our time with you. I don't want to ruin any surprises with the Tullahomians, so I will allow the pictures on the next page to explain just enough.
I do want to thank all of our volunteers for helping. A big thank you to Larissa’s right arm, Cherisse Craft, and an extra big thank you to our chef, Greg McAdams, and his family, for cooking all Peruvian cuisine. From the “llama lady” all the way down to the ones that helped us tear everything down, thank you, thank you, thank you. The Lord blessed the evening and our team members in Tyler have somewhat experienced a taste of the city we are praying so much about. We just hope that some of you visit us one day to get a real taste.
