Justice, Wellbeing, and Joy in the City

We believe that God is healing and transforming creation, so part of our mission as a team is to proclaim and participate in God’s reign as it breaks into the city of Arequipa. We work for God’s reign, to produce signs of justice, wellbeing, and joy of God’s saving rule.

What does that look like? Through CUDA, we catch glimpses. We plant seeds. We walk the long, slow path of development that leads to transformation. We do it because Jesus was raised from the dead and the world is now a different place.

Many of you who are subscribed to this newsletter have been a part of CUDA since the beginning. We’re really excited to share with you our new website

Once again, thank you for your support of the NGO. There are a bunch of new ways to support CUDA, and we hope you'll take a minute to help us out by setting up the Amazon Smile donations and the Kroger Community Rewards

That's right. This year, you can even donate stocks. If that's something you're interested in, just get in touch and we'll get the info you need to your stock broker.

4 SCHOOLS - 38 TEACHERS - 694 KIDS

This year we're working with almost 700 kids in 4 schools. As you know, we also work directly with all of the teachers in these public schools so that the strategies we implement carry on long past the 3 years we spend with the school. An impact is being made, and we love telling the story. See Bryan and Marelí talk about it in their own words (and make sure to turn the English subtitles on if you can't understand Spanish!)

IT STARTS WITH ONE STORY OF WELLBEING

We believe wellbeing is contagious

Our health project is focused on diabetes screening and prevention, care and education. We work with individual diabetics and also connect them to a support network. Wellbeing is multi-faceted and we care about a patient's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

THANK YOU

On behalf of the team, and on behalf of the CUDA staff, thank you. Thank you for your interest, your support, your prayers for the work. If you are able, please consider making a donation before the end of the year so that we can continue to do this work. And please share our story.
