We are nearing the end of the year and if you are looking for something to support please consider donating to CUDA here. It has been an amazing year with the library program graduating one school and adding a new one and to work with 500+ kids. The health program has also seen growth and expansion into other parts of the city by training pharmacists to implement our program with their patients. However, with all these exciting projects we need funds to see them continue to grow for the next year. We are planning on adding two more schools next year to the library program and training more pharmacists and nurses in the diabetes program.
As you do your Christmas shopping on Amazon, you can support CUDA without donating anything! Go to smile.amazon.com and choose The Christian Urban Development Association as your charity to support and then every time you make a purchase Amazon will donate a percentage of that to CUDA. This works as long as you make the purchase from smile.amazon.com.
For those of you that shop at Kroger, they also have a community rewards program where they will donate a percentage of your purchase to CUDA. All you have to do is register your Kroger card with our organization online. We have directions on how to sign up for that on our website here.
These are small things that add up to be a huge blessing to us and to the work that we are doing through CUDA. Thank you for supporting us in this way.
In this issue Katie writes about forced Sabbath, Jaclyn writes about a cookout we did with the orphanages, Jeremy shares his neighbor Alfredo's story, and Jake gives the recommendation for this month.
Prayer Requests: We have begun reading the Bible with another family in our neighborhood. Please be praying for this family to open their hearts to God.
