We’re the Daggetts and for the last ten years (!!) we have lived and worked in a city of a million people in southern Peru. Katie and I share faith and hope with small house churches as we work to unite love of God and love of neighbor in the city of Arequipa. We work with a small non-profit doing sustainable community development focusing on education and sharing life with Arequipa’s marginalized communities. We direct Harding University Latin America, a residential study abroad program where we invite 20-30 students every spring into the process of intercultural spiritual formation.

In this issue, I share a quick reflection about how our small church packs a big punch aka (power)house church, and of course, a bunch of pictures of our family. But first, first-time Team Arequipa newsletter contributor Ana McKinzie reflects on an Arequipa homecoming, and long-time contributor Megan McKinzie follows it up with encouraging insight.
Visit from Cedar Lane, Bobbie Solley Foundation, and the McKinzie Family
We’re deeply thankful to Collin and Cooper Bills and Lou Pfister and their recent visit to Arequipa on behalf of Cedar Lane. The Cedar Lane Church family has been supporting the work in Arequipa for the last 17 years—a fact worthy of honor. We’re thankful Collin and Lou were able to share with the church about their trip recently. They were a blessing to the family of faith here and make us all the more excited to get to be with the Cedar Lane family in January!
We're also deeply honored and thankful for the visit and support of the Bobbie Solley Foundation, who has been supporting CUDA's Living Libraries for the last 5 years. Bobbie Solley, Anna DHerde, and Katie Frazier were with us just long enough for Adileen and Kinney to fall in love.
Finally, what a blessing to spend 3 weeks with Ana and a week with our dear friends Greg and Megan McKinzie. Some friendships simply cannot be matched in terms of understanding each other's situation, life, work, and vocation. You brought life into our home. Thank you. Also, Ana, Kinney won't stop singing potato chip potato chip 🤪
