That's it, That's all - Issue closer and pictures

Well, that’s all I’ve got. Thank you for joining us in prayer. For those at Cedar Lane and Central who support us directly through giving to those churches—thank you. We’re more convinced than ever before that we are where we need to be, thankful for the chance to be a part of God’s mission here in Arequipa. Let’s just all do our best to show the love of Christ whenever we get the chance. That infinite, unknowable, boundless, Ephesians 3:14-21 love of Christ that changes everything.

If you’re looking for something to read…

I’ve recently read Tish Harrison’s Liturgy of the Ordinary and reread Barbara Brown Taylor’s An Altar in the World. I recommend both, though I'm partial to BBT's :).

The most significant book I’ve read in a long time is Bryan Stevenson’s Just Mercy (thankful to Mark Slagle for the chance to read a physical copy of the book). Devastating yet somehow hopeful. This podcast interview for On Being is the perfect taste.

I’m currently reading Brown Church: Five Centuries of Latina/o Social Justice, Theology, and Identity by Robert Romero, A Promised Land (Barack Obama’s memoir), Jesus and the Disinherited by Howard Thurman, and the apocrypha. If you dive into any of these, let me know.

And, as always, a few more pictures:
